When it comes to Planned Giving, there are many options. If you are 65 or older, a Charitable Gift Annuity can yield tax deductions and pay you high-interest income every month for the rest of you life. If you're, say, 50 years old, you can plan for retirement by opening a Deferred Gift Annuity; you'll enjoy an immediate tax deduction and, by the time you are 65, earn income as high as 16% a year. There are also plans such as Charitable Lead Trusts designed to reduce the estate tax burden on your heirs.
With thoughtful planned giving you can ensure both the long-term health of the Archdiocese of New York's charitable and educational mission and the fulfillment of your personal financial objectives. To appreciate the personal and financial rewards of planned giving, please see this brief video: "Income For Life. Charity Forever."
The best way to find the vehicle that's right for you is to call The Office of Planned Giving at the Archdiocese of New York at 646.794.3317.
